A lack of vitamin D in the elderly could be linked to cognitive impairment, according to a senior population study. Researchers suggest that vitamin D supplementation is a possible means of reducing the risk of dementia, as their findings revealed that participants in the study with the lowest levels of vitamin D were more than twice as likely to be cognitively impaired, reported Science Daily
