1) This is the 1st of September, what do you want to accomplish by the 31st?
To be comfortable in my new classroom, to start painting in my free time (even if it won't be good) and to start attempting to get information about being a non-degree seeking student at USF so I can maybe take a foreign language class...like spanish.
2) What does September make you think about or feel?
It reminds me of apples. It usually coincides in my mind with the start of the school year and teachers have this retarded tradition of teaching an apples unit (especially in the younger grades) at the beginning of the year
3) September is the ninth month; can you name nine memories so far from this year?
* The last day of my internship when they'd planned a party and we all had lunch together
* the day of my surgery, laying in the recovery room trying to FORCE myself out of my anesthesia
* my first night with Jim
* my college graduation...and walking barefoot around the sundome because the heels hurt so damn much
* my graduation celebration at James Joyce. A myriad of family and friends totally plastered...and my mom getting sick after one too many shots of gold schlagger
* 4th of July Weekend at Boca Grand getting to chill with everybody and seeing a Manatee
* Getting the phone call that offered me the job at Pizzo and getting to call my parents and put their minds at ease
* Getting dolled up and going down to South Beach with Issa, Pam and Will. WE may not have gotten into the club but I was still freaking hot.
* Having a kid at my school give me a yellow rose on my last day crying because the kids on the bus had harassed him so much about bringing it for me.
4) What does September have in common with three other months and can you name them?
Sept is the prefix of a number I believe 6. October- 8 and December- 10
5) The first weekend in September signals the end of summer for many even though it doesn’t really end for weeks. When does summer end for you?
The first day back to teaching. Its back to the REAL WORLD of ya know...working for the man that pays me.
