The wonderful
grace_descends , aka Lucifer, requested this prompt for
this meme. I hope you like it, dear! <3
Betaed for me by

The song of the Host is inspired by the Music of the Ainur in JRR Tolkien’s The Silmarillion. God’s [first] question and Lucifer’s [first] answer are adapted from the Qur’an.
Are You Challenging Me?

The descriptive imagery of this is so beautiful and then that last line...!
I almost hear Dun! Dun! Duuuuuuun!
And we all know what became of him 3:
Great work!

XD Thank you. <3 Yes, it makes me sad too; we all know what became of him. ;_;

I think that's what I love most about this, the pride. It is so very much Lucifer, very much grace_descends. The "should I alter Thy work" comment is very similar to an argument he used with Uriel, so it definitely rings true to character.
And how telling is it that we both wrote prompts about Lucifer's pride? XD
(One thing that may be a typo but I don't think it is: "if thou canst defeat me" refers to Michael, yes? Otherwise I would think the "thou" should be capitalized.)

Awww, thank you. I was hoping to convey his pride, so I'm glad it's visible. :D
XD Very! Oh, Lucifer. <3
Yes, it does refer to Michael. xD But thank you!

I don't think it's possible to write Lucifer without visible pride. I'm pretty sure his pride comes with a giant blinking neon sign that can be seen from other solar systems. XD
XD XD
:D That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure.
