Ostara Easter
What a fun season, I made awesome felt chocolate bunnies and peeps. We put the peeps in plastic eggs and the children gave them to their buddies.
I thought that maybe the bunnies should have carrots. Some would call me ADD as my fascination and craziness for carrots went everywhere. I made stuffed carrots for the kid's stuffed Rabbits. I then made beaded carrot carriers for bunny peeps and a carrot coin purse for my daughter who used it as a feed bag for her American Girl Horse. Wish I had a picture for that one.
My dad had made me a wooden dowel tree. They were everywhere over the "Christmas Season," I of course painted mine purple. I plan to use it for displaying my pretties. More felt bunnies and tiny wooden eggs.
The children colored and decorated boiled eggs and made the traditional Bunny Cakes.
Fun tidbit: Eostara is for Regeneration, New Beginnings and Conception. I think it is time to plan my garden and plant some seedlings.
What is my next gig? Well, I am thinking Maypole and flowers. Until next time my crafty friends, keep craften!
