This is so lovely. Pilots always communicate like this, right?, always trying not to reveal too much :) Love the last line, very sweet and something Lee'd say, imo. He cares so much about Kara.

Yeah, pilots mainly speak by not telling each other things, I think. They say simple things with lots of hidden meanings, some even unapparent to the one who says it. I'm glad you liked it and didn't find it out of character.
