So, spent the fourth watching fireworks from the roof of a 14 story building. (The building has a title, but I can't remember it. I wanted to change it to Kyro's LoveBoat in the Sky, but that met with some opposition.) The view would've been to die for, except for all the tall people standing in front of me. However, I was able to see the majority of the show, from tip- toes. ... We got puked on, which I suppose is par for the course. To interested parties: don't puke into the wind, for the sake of surrounding party-goers. Met
erotix_innoburn, finally, which was lovely. (By the way, you seem to have an innate talent for writing in the book. I love the stuff you added to it. Can't wait for the next opportunity!) I also got to meet
jacqsckand
captainsemantic, which was lovely... Thanks tons to
lazaurus for your hospitality, and for tolerating the flying mints. If you need help cleaning up, let me know!
Then Friday night, Onyx with
vereor,
tethers,
ar1adne,
lazaurus, and Nick, who does not have the esteem of being included in the lj crew. (He should, though.) It was a lovely, if surreal, evening, full of laughter, and tons of weirdness. People from the past shouldn't randomly wander into the same clubs as me. It freaks me out. They should announce themselves some other way, so I can be prepared, rather than catching me so off-guard.
Yesterday, long day of not-much-of-anything. It was relaxing, boringness put aside. Today, I am attempting to retrieve my paychecks, with some difficulty. I need that money, and can't find the guy who has it. Crap, crap, crap. However, a girl as stubborn as me will certainly find a way eventually....
New job starts tomorrow. I'm not really nervous at all, surprisingly. Temping has a really nice quality about it. They're certainly not going to be as picky about my performance, and likely to be surprised at how well I can do there, whereas if they had interviewed and hired me, it'd be much more high-pressure. It's nice to be able to say "this is just a stupid temp job." Here's hoping I like it, since I'll be stuck there until November...
And hopefully, I'll have enough money to start eating real food again!
