Iowa caucus and 2012 Presidential race

Good-bye, Michele Bachmann. You may join Herman Cain by the refreshments booth. I will let you finish, Herman Cain, but if you're going to quote Pokemon you should at least quote the theme song.

(I haven't posted anything political in a while. Time to rectify that.)

My Iowa caucus wish came true: "Anyone but Rick Santorum." I am not a fan of the frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, Google "Santorum" - it's the first thing that comes up. And for those of you who think I'm being cruel for taking a cheap shot like that, I'll just say I take a dim view of those who compare gay marriage to 9/11, his relationship with his mother-in-law ("I love my mother-in-law, should we call that relationship marriage?") and the true gem: "If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery."

Thankfully (and it's a sad world where I have to be thankful for this), Mitt Romney beat Rick Santorum by a measly 8 votes. I'm still sadly raging over the lack of love for Jon Huntsman, by the way. God forbid we have a moderate on the Presidency. The lovely former ambassador to China probably spelled his doom when he tweeted "To be clear. I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy". That probably wasn't a good idea, seeing as the Republican party is generally known for supporting climate change or creationist theory over global warming. (Not saying this about all Republicans; it's just what the party is generally known for, just like they are generally pro-life and supportive of small government.)

The really fun part is that I'll actually be able to vote for the 2012 Presidential Election. I don't know where I'm going to end up for college - if it's one of the schools in D.C., I'll be right in the heat of action; if I go to Scotland or England, I'll just have to mail in my vote. It's a little...pathetic? but I think the upcoming presidential election is going to impact where I decide to go to college XD Helping out on a campaign would be fuuun!

^ Those are my friends' reactions when I go on and on about politics XD
