Animal Abuse and Art
Nathalia Edenmont kills cats, mice, doves, rabbits, and other animals; mutilates their bodies; then photographs them. Her work is currently on exhibit at the Wetterling Gallery in Sweden--among other places. Edenmont has turned mouse heads into finger puppets. She also beat a cat to death with a stick.
I don't know whether her work is art or not. Frankly, I don't care. If you visit cathealth, where I found this information, you'll find links to Edenmont's work and a petition against her. I doubt that the petition cause any change (hell, I'm probably advertising Edenmont's work by posting this), but it's something.
In sum, I firmly believe in free speech and expression. Here, however, the cost is too high.
