Just an update
Things progress. No sign of a job, definitely nothing local, I am having to apply for jobs in Northampton and Huntingdon and Milton Keynes. Agencies call, say they will put me forwards for jobs, and then... nothing. Rarely do they ever get back in contact to let me know it has come to nothing.
I was writing a thousand words a day in a story and doing quite well, and at the same time I was dieting and losing a couple of pounds a week. Then I got ill for two weeks and by the time I was out of it I had lost my way in both writing and diet. I am still struggling to restart either.
A friend of mine is working in the yard at the moment, fencing and roofing half of it in so the cats can finally have more room and get some outdoor life. I have failed to build it for over five years, lacking confidence and experience and decent tools. So when Trizia got some money paid back from challenging a drop in some of her benefits we agreed to get someone else to build it. Looking forwards to it being finished :) the cats are chipped just in case. They probably need vaccinating, just in case.
Roleplaying-wise I have had to stop work on lots of my game ideas, as I counted them up and realised I was working on over twenty different games simultaneously and only running about four. It was all too much so I cut it right back to running a couple and only really working on them. Great.
THEN... all my roleplaying ideas dried up, and not just the roleplaying ideas, EVERYTHING, all my ideas. I am now trying not to worry about it too much and working through the NightWatch game I am running [post apocalyptic British based with zombies and magic and demons, using the Unisystem WitchCraft system], and getting it up to a point where I can take a break while someone else runs a bit to give me a rest and work on ideas-building.
I need to find ways to re-invigorate my Ideas centre, as I hate being without ideas, in the same way as fish dislike being without water >:(
I am going to try and trade some of my old larp stuff that has been made and then stored for the last few years, to get some money to build NEW stuff to then build, to sell and pay off some of my debts that have been following me for some years now. A few good trading sessions should do it to be honest.
In good news, DR WHO is back!!!! and its brilliant!!! I love the new Doctor, Matt Smith is spot on and lining up to be a really good Doctor. I love the new look TARDIS too, and the episodes are really good so far, and the new assistant rocks, both in character and looks.
Anything else? probably as soon as I turn the computer off. Was playing Diablo for a while, but stayed up late too many times and it really got me a bit brain-dead during the day and may be one of the reasons for my Idea Famine.
I am doing a bit of FnH again, not seriously. I made a new robe, and its really bad and I don't like it. I want to make another one, but will have to wait until I have some spare cash. Right now I have the outer material and pattern for a Steampunk coat, so hope to get a move on with that very soon.
That will do for now. I may do more later, or update next year :p
