Job dilemma.

I have entered you as a recent graduate in need of a job. The next logical step would be, "well, go FIND one, then!" Here's the kicker. I'm employed full-time until the end of August. If I start looking for a job now, and get one... will it work to be like "by the way, I can't start until September 1st?" Should I wait to start applying to places? I can't quit the job I'm working now, I've got to see it through. What should I do?
