Firefox is Made of Win

Apr 01, 2009 08:14

I'm finally breaking down and switching to Firefox. I'm sick of the IE - the slow behemoth.

I need to find out other cool stuff Firefox can do. I know you can add extensions or something.

That is all.

** Update: How do I set Firefox as my default browser? For example, if I click a link from Outlook, it is still launching Internet Explorer.

I've yet to figure out what's so bad about IE. I know everyone complains about it in a general way but no one mentions any details, and it works just fine for me.

Also, Firefox has this little nifty tool called adblock that blocks ads. Everywhere.

Pop-ups or those ads that are integrated in a website?

Firefox itself blocks pop-ups automatically and then you may allow pop-ups for certain sites. Adblock deals with integrated ads.

So far I've relied on Google's pop-up-blocker. It works quite well.

I'll have to see. Maybe sometime I'll give Firefox a try. I suppose I'm just not desperate eniugh. :)
