I need some friends

It is becoming increasingly clear that I have essentially no friends. I have a handful of people I see/talk to once every month or two in NY. I have the people I work with, most of whom I hate. I have the ghosts of friends in LA. My main connection to them is through a message board. But the message board is mostly posts by people I don't like or don't know (the friends of my original friends). It becomes clearer and clearer that the message board is really just something to stir up arguments in me. The only reason why I keep going back is because I have no other real connection to people. So I guess I need to figure out a way to meet new friends that doesn't require money or free time.

I have no idea why I bothered explaining what Begum is to the four people who read my blog (Hi Alison, Leslie, Jared and Elizabeth!)
