Father's Day
My dad was 5'5" with reddish brown hair, and green eyes like mine. His birthday was May 3rd. He was a surfer, a cook, an electrician, a roofer, a boyscout, an artist, and a great dad. He loved to play practical jokes on me. I used to have a hard time telling if he was joking or not. He liked to drive our car really fast. He had that car for 15 years, he cried when he had it crushed. He had always said he was going to give it to me when I turned 16. He surfed with me on his board, and taught me how to swim and surf on my own when I got older. I think his proudest moment was when his son was born. After having two girls he and my mom didn't think they could get pregnant anymore. He called him his miracle baby. He was so tiny...
He nichnamed all of us, I was maggot (small, white, and squirmy) my sister was piggy (she ate a lot). My brother was nicknamed bud-bud... I think I gave that to him.
My dad loved animals, he always tried to convince my mom to let us have a dog.
My dad died at the age of 32 from diabetes. (Technically congestive heart faliure. They said his kidneys would have failed within two weeks. He was legally blind)
I was 13, my sister was 8 and my brother only 6
