Grooming
I've found the best (and safest) way to brush/comb my cat (who can be a little temperamental with the brush) is when he's entertained by a toy.
Of course, I go to the petstore and bring home 10 different toys for this cat -- he turns his nose up at all but one -- my boyfriend comes home with a long piece of thick yarn he found at work and it's the cat's absolute favorite toy EVER. *ROLL EYES*
Anyway -- get the cat interested in the toy, then he's not as likely to get short-tempered with me combing him and I'm able to do places he wouldn't otherwise let me comb for too long (his tail, backside, etc) -- today I was able to get off SO MUCH DEAD FUR just by having him play with that darn piece of yarn for about 15 minutes.... :)
And he looks great, super shiny, wow, wow....
