Father
I am your father, Luke, you said.
A black hole: it attracts me, it forces me to my knees.
My no! a laser beam that burns up in despair.
Son
You're lying on the ground, your breath a gasp, as if death has been your constant companion for decades.
A white face behind a mask as black as the night, with eyes full of sadness and longing and a plea for forgiveness.
You are my father and I, I am your son.
Prompt: Batman (Nolan movie), Batman / Joker insanity
I give you a smile
The Joker imagines a smile lies behind Batman's mask, a smile like glass: arrogant and fragile.
With his left hand he grabs into this mouth and forces the jaw open, with his right he holds a shard of glass, cuts through the mask, the underlying face, rips the smile from the corners of Batman's mouth and forces it wider, deeper - blood red and beautiful.
Wetness drips onto Batman's chest.
"This," says the Joker, "this is how I like you."
