This is a moden day, Young Riders/Without a Trace crossover written by me andshantyrfan. All of your favorite characters (and a few not so favorite) are here, and alive and well. The non familiar characters don't belong to us (with the exception of the resort staff and the name of Tag's youngest daughter), they belong to the creators of Without a Trace. For those that aren't familiar with this story, it was inspired by this clip Kid and the Breakfast of Champions

Chapter 14
“You weren’t kidding, Lou.” Tag said between bites of his prime rib. “This is probably the best meal I’ve ever had.”

“I told you it was the best.” Lou sighed as she nibbled on her bread. All the horrible memories that she worked so hard to get through with Dr. Annie smacked her in the face when they entered the resort; hateful and spiteful behavior towards her mother, the way she knew how to get whatever she wanted from her father, and worst the way she let herself fall in love with the worst possible person and when her mother discovered them together, Lou flaunted it in her face. She looked at the man she was falling in love with and suddenly felt very unworthy of his affection.  He could never love me if he realized what I did, how I really am.

“Lou, what’s wrong?” Tag looked at her worriedly. She’d been very quiet since they decided to stay in. He worried that maybe Jack had made a mistake choosing her for this assignment. While he was fully competent in her abilities to do her job, he feared that being back in her father’s resort was more than she could handle. “You’ve hardly touched your food.”

Lou looked at her half eaten meal. “I know, I’m just...”

A knock on the door interrupted her, before a voice announced, “Room service.”

A smile crossed her face. “I was just saving room for desert!”

She sprang from her seat and crossed to open the door to let the server in. The young woman pushed in a serving cart with plates of fruits, cookies, giant marshmallows, and diced cake with a small fountain of chocolate centered in the middle.

“Wow!” Lou grinned almost lustfully at the chocolate fondue setup.

Tag looked at her and smiled, envious of their desert. I’d give anything to have her look at me like that. He pulled out some money and tipped the server. “Thank you, that will be all for tonight.”

“Thank you, Mr. Monahan.” The girl smiled seductively as she tucked the money between her breasts, which were partially exposed by her low cut blouse. She winked at Tag. “If you change your mind, feel free to call.”

Lou glared at the girl as she contemplated dumping the chocolate fountain on the server. No, I’ve got better plans for that chocolate and they don’t include this little tramp. “I’m more than capable of handling any of his needs.” She dipped a strawberry in the chocolate and seductively put it to Tag’s mouth. “Now if you’ll excuse us.”

The girl shot Lou a dirty look before exiting the suite as she grumbled, “How’d an ugly bitch land a guy like that?”

“Did you hear what that little skank just said?” Lou turned to Tag, who was trying very hard not to laugh. “What’s so funny?”

“You,” he wrapped his arms around her waist pressing her body against his, “for a moment there I was hoping I was going to have to break up a cat fight.”

Lou opened her mouth in shock but before she could say anything, Tag popped a juicy strawberry dripping with chocolate into her mouth. His finger then guided her chin to shut so her mouth could savor the succulent treat. She moaned in bliss from the delectable surprise, and Tag found himself becoming very aroused. He watched as she finished the fruit and noticed a smudge of chocolate on the corner of her mouth. He leaned forward and his mouth cleaned it off with a gentle kiss.

When Tag’s mouth found hers, Lou moaned in delight and eagerly deepened the kiss. As their tongues met, she wanted to lose herself in the moment. She feared that once their assignment was over and the truth came out, he wouldn’t want to see her again. His tender touch made her shiver.

Feeling her begin to tremble, Tag broke the kiss in concern. “Lou?”

“Umm,” is all that could escape her mouth.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” she said as she tried to retake control of her emotions. “I just wasn’t expecting that.”

“We are on our honeymoon,” he reminded her huskily as he tried to kiss her again.

Lou pulled back slightly. “But there’s no one here right now to see us.”

“Are you saying you only like it if someone’s watching?” He teased as he sat down and pulled her to sit sideways in his lap.

“That’s not what I meant.”

“Lou, what’s the matter?” He asked as he caressed her back. “You know I meant what I said about you setting the pace. I don’t expect you to do anything.”

“I know.” Lou smiled as she dipped a piece of the sponge cake in the chocolate and fed it to him.  “The thing is I know I want to and I think that’s what’s scaring me.” Before he had swallowed the bite, her tongue met his lips and licked off some chocolate.

Tag groaned from the yearning she was awakening in him. “Lou, if you’re not ready, then...” Lou interrupted him by feeding him a cookie she clutched in her teeth. He returned the favor by drenching a strawberry in chocolate and dangling it just inches from her mouth teasingly before finally feeding her, causing droplets of the sweet dip to land on her chest. “I’m sorry,” he said after she’d finished the fruit. “I’ll get that.” He leaned down and licked the chocolate off of her.

Lou felt like she was melting into a pool of chocolate as he continued to nibble on her chest up to her neck, following the trail of dripping chocolate. When he reached her mouth, she pulled way slightly, startling him. “Lou?”

“It’s my turn now,” she teased as she dipped a treat and fed it to him in the same manner he had just done, letting the chocolate drip across his face and neck, oozing beneath the front of his shirt. “Oh, my! Look at the mess I made, I think this shirt is going to have come off.”

Tag smiled. “If you insist.”

She shook her head to stop him from taking it off. “Ah-ah, I’ll do it,” she said huskily as she turned to straddle him. Her hands played with the ends of the shirt while she licked the chocolate off his face and neck. She slowly pulled the shirt up, stopping every few seconds to feel his toned muscles. When she finally reached his neck, he raised his arms to help with the removal of the clothing and she realized with his head and arms still covered in the shirt, she had him in a very vulnerable position. She saw the drizzle of chocolate that slipped down his shirt and couldn’t resist.

Tag groaned as he felt Lou’s tongue lick his chest, while she kept his arms and head confined in the shirt. Slowly he felt the material began to rise as her kisses continued upward. When she reached his mouth, the material lay just below his eyes and she slowed her pace, playfully sucking on his bottom lip.

Afraid he couldn’t take much more, Tag pulled his shirt the rest of the way off as his tongue sought hers. She squealed with delight as their mouths danced passionately seeking to explore each other’s depths more fully. Tag allowed a mischievous thought to take over and as he continued the kiss, his right hand moved to the chocolate fountain. After completely covering it, he brought it back to Lou’s face, and with his fingers he began painting her in sweet cocoa coating.

Lou looked at him and pretended to be offended. “Two can play that game, mister,” she giggled as she proceeded to put chocolate markings across his chest and face.

Tag smiled as he fed her another bit. “So if this is what you wanted dipped in chocolate, you just better be sure to clean it all off.”

“Oh, don’t worry,” Lou sighed as she fed him a piece of fruit slathered in chocolate. “I intend to.”

“Good,” he said as he painted her neck and shoulder, his hand slipping the strap of her dress off. Suddenly he stopped when he saw the stains he was creating on her dress. “Oh, Lou your dress! I’m sorry, I guess I got carried away.”

Lou looked to see the brown hand prints painted on her sundress and couldn’t help but giggle. “It’s okay, it should wash out, but maybe I should go ahead and take it off.”

“Are you sure?” Tag asked as she got up and slipped the dress over her head, revealing a very skimpy strapless bikini.

“I’m sure,” she said as she sat back down in his lap. “Besides, you did say you wanted to try out that Jacuzzi later, didn’t you?”

Tag nodded as she fed him another taste and then painted his chest some more. Back and forth they continued, playfully feeding and painting each other with their desert. Slowing down their focus, they switched from feeding each other to covering and cleaning the chocolate off each other. Once they’d had their fill of treats, Lou tossed the beach towels they’d pulled out earlier onto the floor as they laid down, taking turns painting and licking the chocolate off each other.

Tag was a little surprised by Lou’s uninhibited behavior. If they’d opened the bottle of champagne that was brought up with dinner, he’d be afraid she was drunk, but he knew she was completely sober. “Lou, are you sure you want to keep doing this?”

She responded by kissing him passionately. She moaned as his mouth left hers and began exploring other areas of her body. He was tempted to undo her bikini top, but resisted the urge, wanting to take things slow and savor each moment. Instead, his tongue lightly traced the outline of her top and then plummeted down in between her breasts to work on her abdomen. She giggled as his tongued tickled her bellybutton and continued lower making light circles across her midriff. As he reached her low cut bikini bottom, he began to trace along the edge when he noticed a very faded scar, like a long incision had been made across the bottom of her abdomen. “Lou, what’s this scar from? It looks a lot like Naomi’s C...”

“It’s just an old wound,” she quickly interrupted. “I had an undercover job go bad a few years ago, the guy stabbed me, but Noah took him out and saved my life.”

Something about her voice made Tag wonder if she was telling the truth, but he didn’t dare ask and spoil the moment. “Remind me to thank Noah when we get home, I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

I pray you’ll understand if you ever learn that I just lied, Lou thought as Tag’s mouth met hers.

Lou rolled her and Tag over and she moved to straddle him. She chuckled as she could feel his arousal through the thin fabric of his swim trunks. She slowly rubbed herself over him delighting in the sensations.

Tag groaned as he felt Lou grind against him. As she leaned forward to kiss him passionately, he grabbed hold of her hips, wanting to gain some control of the situation. Unfortunately, Lou lost her balance and fell forward bumping her head on the table leg.

“Lou?” he asked concerned as she sat there a moment rubbing her head. “Are you all right?”

“I think so,” she said chuckling. But suddenly her hand hit a wet spot in her hair. “Oh no!”

Tag sat up, gently bringing her with him and checking her over. “What’s wrong? What happened?”

“I think I’m…” she brought her hand to her eye level and chuckled. “Never mind, it’s just chocolate.”

Tag lowered her head to double check and then looked at the table. The fountain had knocked over and caused chocolate to drip heavily down the edge of the table. “Looks like we made a huge mess,” he said smiling, as he used his finger to clean some off that had fallen onto her cheek.

Lou nodded and started to stand, “We better clean some of this up,” she said picking up one of the towels but Kid stopped her.

“Leave it for housekeeping. As for us, I have an idea how we can clean up,” he grinned at her wickedly as he stood up and grabbed her hand.

Lou panicked thinking he was leading her towards the shower. Instead, he continued to lead her towards the room with the Jacuzzi.

Tag left Lou at the threshold of the room as he entered flipping switches on the wall to turn the lights on and get the water started to fill the huge garden tub. While it was filling, he crossed the room to the stereo built into the wall and flipped the stations around until he found one with soft and romantic music playing. He was about step down when he noticed Lou still standing in the doorway.

“Lou?” he asked approaching her.

Memories Lou had fought so hard to forget; or at least ignore on this trip, came back full force as she stood at the threshold. She wanted so much to enjoy this time with him, whether anything happened or not, but she was scared.

“Lou?” he asked again cupping her face. “Are you waiting for me to carry you over this threshold too?” Lou shook her head. “Then what’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” she lied hoping he wouldn’t hear the worry in her voice. This is Tag, she thought to herself. Not everyone is out to use you like… like he did.

“Guess I’m just worried about clogging up the jets with chocolate,” she grinned seductively as she finally gathered the courage to enter the room. Deciding to just get it over with, she climbed into the tub and patted the water for him to join her.

Tag grinned wickedly as he joined her. He watched as she ducked under the water, soaking her chocolate stained hair and then he laughed when she resurfaced, shaking her head and sending water everywhere. She grinned playfully. “That feels better already.”

“I’ll bet,” he sighed as he moved closer to her, but she scooted back to sit on the seat. Tag wasn’t sure if Lou was trying put distance between them or not. He’d sensed that she was having apprehensions about being in here with him so he decided to wait for her to make the next move.

He stretched out across one of the seats leaning against a set of massaging jets in one corner. Lou sat in the corner across from him, purposely stretching her legs out along the same bench as Tag had, causing their legs to touch. Tag jumped when he first felt her legs against his.

“Sorry,” she tried to sound innocent as she leaned back into the neck massaging jets behind her. “Mmmm.”

Tag watched her intently as the jets worked the tension out of his shoulders, thinking of how nice this was. “Hhhmm.”

“What?” Lou asked seeing a peculiar smile on his face.

“I was just thinking. Last summer Naomi tried to convince me to get hot tub for our deck out back. I told her we needed to wait until the girls were a little older; I was worried about Emma finding her way in. Naomi said I was being overly cautious, said that’s why they have covers and stuff but I wouldn’t cave. Now, I’m wishing I had.”

“Why? You think that’s part of why she left you?” Lou’s felt like her hear was going to drop at the thought that Tag would still rather be with his wife.

“No, of course not. I just mean I could really get used to having one of these, especially if you’re in it with me.”

He slid his foot against hers and she blushed furiously. “Tag!”

“What’s the matter, you’re not ticklish are you?” He teased as both of his feet got into the act.

Lou squealed, much to Tag’s delight. She quickly recovered and edge forward to get a little closer to him to continue in their game of Footsie. Suddenly he jumped up out of his seat as he felt her toes tug on the bottom of his swim trunks. She giggled, “Something wrong? You’re acting like something tried to bite you, there’s not a shark in here is there?”

“No, just a little mouse that likes to nibble.” He grinned as he grabbed her feet and pulled them closer causing her head to go under the water.

Lou laughed as she reemerged, finding herself only inches from Tag. “Are you saying you don’t want me to nibble?”

“Only if I can nibble back.” He groaned as he pulled her to him and began sucking on earlobe.

“Oh,” she cried, arching her body while wrapping her legs around his waist. Through the thin material of their swimsuits, she could feel his arousal pulse against the center of her womanhood, which was awakening in its own desire. She captured his mouth with hers in a hungry urgency as she unconsciously began to rub against his aching bulge.

Tag groaned and he turned them around, setting her on the bench as he knelt on the whirlpool floor. She leaned against the jets as he made a trail of passionate kisses from her jaw and down her neck as her hands explored the broad muscles of his chest and back. Her hands continued down and slid under his swimsuit, grabbing his firm buttocks, desperate to feed the burning need erupting inside of her. They both moaned in delight as they fed off each other’s desire.

Tag’s right hand wandered to her breasts and she arched her back in response. With his mouth, he ran a trail of kisses from her chin down her neck to her chest. With Lou’s moans and grinding encouraging him to go further, he continued southward taking and began sucking on her left breast through the thin material of her swimsuit. He longed to remove the barrier between them but waited patiently for Lou to take that step, not wanting to pressure her before she was ready.

As if reading his mind Lou gasped from the sensations he was causing, “Please Tag, don’t stop.”

“Are you sure?” He looked up at her wanting to confirm afraid he’d go mad if they continued and then she stopped.

She looked into his hungry eyes and smiled. She’d waited so long for this moment; she’d worked so hard to get past the memories so she could do this with him. Realizing he wasn’t going to make the next move, she reached behind her back and undid her swimsuit top and flung it onto the ledge of the Jacuzzi. “I’m sure.”

Her boldness took Tag by surprise and he just knelt in front of her staring at her now topless body. He finally uttered, “You’re so beautiful.” He took her in his arms and kissed her mouth before whispering in her ears, “So pretty.”

Tag eagerly took one breast in his mouth, while his hand explored the other. He was so lost in the moment that he didn’t feel Lou’s body stiffening.

“You’re so beautiful,” His voice said seductively as he undid her bathing suit. “I’ve been waiting a long time for this, my pretty Penny.”

He kissed her on the mouth as his hand finished removing their suits. “I’ve been waiting so long for you to be old enough for you to make love with me.”

No, this isn’t him, it’s Tag, Lou tried to remind herself as he felt him continue to explore her body. She closed her eyes, trying to will away the images of her first time from her mind but the harder she tried the more clearer they would become. Tears streamed down her face as she relived what she’d tried so hard to forget.

“Lou?” Tag stopped as soon as he realized her whimper was not one of pleasure but of pain. He saw her tears and cursed himself for not seeing that he was moving too fast for her. “It’s okay, I didn’t mean to take it this far.”

Tag’s words broke her back to reality. She looked at the confusion in his face and knew he blamed himself for this. “I’m sorry, I just can’t. Not like this.”

“Like what?” He asked, even more confused. When she began to calm down, he tried to put his arm around her to comfort her, but she moved away.

“We used to do this,” is all she uttered before she stood and wrapped a towel around herself before she stepped out of the whirlpool. “I’m sorry, I just can’t. I thought I was ready.”

She burst into tears again as she looked at the man she’d fallen in love with and feared she’d never be able to be with him. Before he could say anything, she took off down the hall to the bathroom. Once inside she collapsed against the door holding herself as she wept.

Worried to death about her, Tag tried to follow her but he heard the door lock immediately after she shut it. “Lou?”

He waited for her to answer but all he heard was her sobbing and he curse himself for causing her such pain. “Please open up, I need to know you’re all right. I understand you’re not ready. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to pressure you. Lou, please answer me, you’re scaring me.”

“I’m okay,” she said softly, realizing he feared she would do something harmful to herself. She wondered if maybe things would’ve worked out better for everyone if she had so many years ago. The thought of what would’ve happened to the twins if she had, reminded her that it’s better that she hadn’t.

“You don’t sound okay.”

The love in his voice brought her tears back. “I’m sorry Tag. The last thing I wanted was for me to hurt you like this.”

“I’m not hurt Lou, I’m worried about you. Don’t you know by now that I care about you?”

“Yes, I care about you to. I’m sorry.”

“Then open up so we can talk. Please?” The concern in his voice almost convinced her, but she just wasn’t ready to face him.

“I’m okay, I promise. I just need to be alone for a little while.” She sighed, as she wiped her tears.

“Are you sure, you’re okay?”

“Yes, I think I should get a shower, I’ve still got some chocolate in my hair,” she tried to force a giggle but failed miserable.

“Okay, I’ll clean off in the Jacuzzi then,” he relented. “If you need me, I’m here.”

He heard her start the shower and he turned to go back to the spa room, stopping along the way to grab a fresh t-shirt and shorts to sleep in. He immediately turned off the music and the spa so he could keep an ear out for Lou. He figured from her behavior she must have had a flashback of some sort but he was unable to shake the guilt he had brought it on. He hoped that when she came out she’d be ready to talk. He wanted nothing more than to help her get through whatever it was in her past that haunted her so badly. He knew there was nothing that she could’ve ever done that would change how he felt about her. He wished she trusted him enough to believe that, but considering the type of person her father was and how her first lover had used her, he couldn’t blame her for being weary of men.

He quickly got back into the tub. After washing the remaining chocolate off, he got back out and dried off. After getting dressed, he peeked out to see if he’d missed Lou coming back out, but there was no sign of her. He walked over to the bathroom door. He could hear the shower still running and could barely make out Lou’s faint whimpering, which tugged at his heart. As much as he wanted to call out to her, he was afraid it would only cause her to stay away from him that much longer. He returned to the living room and tried to go over some of the blueprints for the resort, but he couldn’t concentrate.

Lou stood in the shower, scrubbing herself, longing to get the feeling of dirt and guilt off of her. She kept thinking of all the horrible things she’d done and how now she can’t even give herself to a man who deserves to be loved. It’s just as well, she thought. As soon as Tag finds out what you let him do to you, he’ll never want to look at you again. She broke down in tears again, thinking of how much she longed to be able to spend just one night making love with Tag. She knew it would never last between them, once he learned everything, but she could deal with it if she had the memories of one night with him. Her mind began thinking up a plan as she finished washing the chocolate out of her hair.

After she dried off, Lou peaked out of the bathroom and was relieved to see Tag was not in bed yet. She quickly crossed to the dresser and took out a black slip nightgown and put it on before going back to the bathroom to dry her hair. Afterwards, she took a deep breath and headed out to the living area. “Tag?”

Tag looked up and was surprised to see Lou dressed in a short sexy nightgown. “Hey,” was all he could mumble.

She smiled, knowing her choice of nightwear was conservative enough to not give away her intentions but enticing enough to peak his desire. She crossed to him and sat down in his lap. “You about ready for bed?”

“Um, sure,” he gulped at the thought of sharing a bed with her while she was wearing that. “Maybe it would be better if I just sleep on the couch.”

“Why? It’s not like we haven’t sleep in the same bed before?”

“I know, it’s just I don’t want you to get upset again.”

She smiled at his genuine concern for her. “I’m sorry about that, I don’t know what happened, but I’m okay now.”

“Are you sure?”

She nodded. “Please, I don’t want to be alone tonight.” She stood up and turned to face him as she grabbed his arms to coax him up.

“Alright,” he sighed as he stood up and let her lead him to the bedroom. “But only if you tell me what happened.”

“What do you mean?” She asked as they got into bed.

“I’m sorry for whatever I did earlier to upset you, Lou.” He sat up and leaned against the headboard. “I shouldn’t have tried to pressure you, I guess I just got carried away and couldn’t control myself. I’d never forgive myself if that happened again.”

“It wasn’t you, Tag.” Lou sat up and looked him in the eyes. “I just...”

“I did something to remind you of before.”

Lou lowered her head. “It wasn’t you exactly.”

“Don’t lie to me Lou, I saw the terror on your face.” He put his finger on her chin to guide her to look at me. “You know I’d never do anything to hurt you.”

“I know, it wasn’t that at all.” She tried to fight the tears forming in her eyes. “It’s just his suite had a tub like that and we’d sneak in there all the time. I guess I didn’t realize how ...”

“His suite?” Tag looked at her with confusion. “It happened here?”

She nodded.

“I know you said you were young, but I never imagined.”

The look on his face caused Lou to be unable to fight back the tears anymore. She turned away from him, knowing this night wasn’t going to go as had hoped. Just the thought of how young she was had been enough to disgust him. “I’m sorry.”

“What?” Tag asked, barely able to understand her. He pulled her into his arms. “Lou, it’s okay. I just didn’t know.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Shh.” He said as he guided her to lie down, holding her close to him. “It’s not your fault, you have nothing to be sorry for.”

“I hate the person he turned me into, that I let him turn me into.”

“You’re not that person now, Lou. That’s what matters.” Tag reminded her as she cried herself to sleep in his arms. He tried to concentrate on being there for her now and not dwelling with the peak into her past she finally shared with him. He couldn’t imagine what she’d gone through being in a sexual relationship at such a young age. No wonder she’s so cautious to begin one now. He swore he wouldn’t let himself lose control again and pressure her into making love before she was ready.
