Only in Ridgecrest... OMG are you Fing kidding me?????
So by now, everyone is familiar with this picture, right? If not here's an article explaining why this made national news and once again put Ridgecrest on the map for something horrible!
Sadly, the employee made famous also made Ridgecrest famous. He was a shift manager at our local Taco Bell! He was fired after a national uproar and people protesting the restaurant and threatening the staff and manager.
Well tonight in a local Facebook group I'm on, a woman posted:
Does anyone have any idea who may be working the Burger King drive through window at this time (10pm) on this Thursday night? I "had" to make a quick run there a little bit ago and that drive through guy was the nicest, most polite "customer service" employee I have EVER encountered!
Don't ask me to describe him because I'd suck at that.. All I've got is mid 20's, dark hair.. Big smile (so single ladies... There ya go! Haha). He needs to know he did a good job and I don't have the receipt (I think they put names on those..)!
After people debated about who it was and no one could confirm it, she mentioned that the kid looked very familiar and wanted to know if he worked at the Wal-Mart. I replied:
Call the restaurant tomorrow, ask to speak to the manager and tell him. After the hoopla about what happened at Taco Bell, it's nice to hear something nice about one of the fast food workers in this town!
That's when she realized... The taco licker who was fired 2 weeks ago is now working the drive through at Burger King!
