The TV Generation are now orphans...
Over the weekend, we lost TV 's Greatest Mom, Barbara Billingsley, aka June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver. Yesterday we lost TV's Greatest dad, Tom Bosley aka Mr Cunningham from Happy Days.
LitB was before my time, but I remember growing up watching it in reruns, and watching Happy Days. I never wanted to be part of either family, but I still thought they were the coolest parents! I feel like an orphan now.
I had the honor of meeting Tom a few days after my 21st birthday. I was in New York to see my friend Terrance in Beauty and the Beast and he was playing Belle's Father. We only spent a few minutes talking, but he was a wonderful man and so funny.
Both will be missed.
