thirty four and a quarter days of night

Its been a while since I updated this thing, but since I'm paying for it I suppose that's my only excuse. Live Journal's are like exercise equipment, once bought they collect dust I suppose. Perhaps a paid account that constantly emails you to insist that its not costing you a dime would be better.

It seems that MSNBC is yet again unable to determine what is a good news story and what is COMPLETELY HILARIOUS. Ebay, Paypal, and (get this) Fufu's Furniture have become entangled in a lengthy legal struggle regarding Chinese antiques (thus the ridiculous name of the dealer embroiled in the battle) and the lazy rich fucks with enough time and money on their hands to be purchasing "Chinese wedding beds" for god knows what. If I know Americans it'll be for hot monkey sex. Only an American sex freak would spend $1,875 on getting laid once by his frigid bitch of a gold digging wife. Based on this strategy of course you know what this means. Tyco CEO, Kozlowski, had to spend $6000 on a burgundy and floral shower curtain and when the revealing video footage was shown in court it wasn't even in their section of the ritzy apartment.. it was in the maid's bathroom. That means he was banging the help! (Is this slander or libel? Think fast, you moron.) I ask you to name one woman who wouldn't fuck you silly for a house, car and a stable financial support structure. (oh wait, my girl friend! Of course she wants a life insurance policy. Good thing I'm not worth the paper I'm printed on.)

To add insult to injury (my specialty BTW) the furniture company, located in the town of Sanxiangin in China's Guangdong province (there's a mouthful of sexuality right there), had evidently been having trouble because one of their financial officers decided to wander away with a large chunk of their cash base. Making it impossible for them to pay their bills. The problem I have at this point in the article is that MSNBC chose to use the most racially stereo typical title choice for the next section of their reporting, it came in an email from the company: “thieved our company money and lot(s) of very nice and old furniture (and) run away.”

Does this sound bad to you? Like some long lost shirt from Abercrombie and Fitch (chinese laundry anyone?) What is it with rich white culture and racism these days anyway? Its like its expected. Its like when they think it out loud the rest of us are supposed to find it cute or something. I've talked to people who are Chinese and speak English and though a few may have trouble formulating a coherent sentence this doesn't mean they all do. So why is it that MSNBC feels the need to make us think they do, by choosing to interview the worst of the bunch, thereby reinforcing the illusion of ignorance? And then to title a section of the article like that? What the fuck?! Evidently they used Microsoft translation software for the email they received.

On the other hand at least I know from reading the article that there was some good news. According to a number of "victims", Paypal continued to take their money even though there wasn't any product being given to the consumers. Personally this strikes me as an American tradition... money for nothing, rape of the consumer. I mean look at what happened to all the contracts we negotiated with the Native American tribes (I've got a great deal on small pox infested blankets.), its like historical precedence. And besides isn't this how a business is supposed to operate? I thought all the really successful businessmen have used this technique to achieve their wealth and power, its just too bad the consumers keep falling for the same shtick. But then if we weren't so dumb they wouldn't be so rich.

This is the white rabbit signing off.
