There's violence, maybe the type you're not used to. But there is, it's kinda impossible for there 'not' to be violence when sentient beings are involved.

My world was a world of the enslavement and fighting of a people for the sport of another. At least what violence is here is for some purpose.

Oh I'm sure this world has it to. Probably boxing or something other sport you'd be amazed.

One would think that telekinetic powers would be something employers in the scientific fields would seek out. Apparently my feline appearance is a greater problem.

And in this boxing... do the combatants choose it, or are they forced?

Ahh yeah, but you're a thinking being, that's a risky trade off.

Yeah, originally no, they were slaved forced to fight for the entertainment of the high class, for the most part. Now it's more a matter of choice.

Well, yes there 'is' a level of discontentment in being treated like ill gotten gains. But realistically, which is better? Being snuck in or catching a cold because you're stuck outside? Besides then at least you have some place 'dry' to work out more planning about what you're going to do from here on out.
