The Day After Turning 50
I made it through becoming 50. I spent the entire day with my former boss finalizing a couple of accounts I sold right before I got my new position. It was great to spend time with him as we have always got along well.
I had nothing at all planned for my birthday. I was merely going to spend the evening watching TV and doing nothing. I decided to update some computer stuff since I had not been online per se for several weeks. To my surprise, Miss Morgan called me and said "Come Downstairs right now!" She had arrived at my house bearing a birthday cake and ingredients to cook me supper. What FUN we had! We talked continually and she made a delicious raviloi dish and then we ate cake and played Guitar Hero 3. It was such a great evening and will stay in my mind as a wonderful birthday evening with my very sweet and caring daughter. I am so very lucky to have such great kiddos and I love them both dearly. ... But there is something about a daughter that can not be explained....
Today I am sitting at Turtle Wax getting my car detailed before I give it to Lorie for her to drive for her new job which is my old job. I am looking forward to her getting back from vacation so we can talk about work AND just have fun. Can't wait to hear about her trip!
The kids and I are going to get together this weekend to spend some time to celebrate my birthday. So something else for which to look forward!
