You know what? I liked it! I loved how they used the Impala to tie everything together--throughout everything the Impala has been their one constant companion throughout everything.
I'm not sure on the whole Chuck is God theory--I don't know if he disappeared because his work was finished...idk. If he is God, I think I'd have liked it to be more explicitly stated. I can buy the concept no problem, but if so they could have made more of it.
The Lisa thing made me WTF. Some random that's suddenly the epitome of domesticity? It was a bit crowbarred in there for me. I reckon next season we'll see Dean struggling with a 'normal' life and getting pulled back. Cos that's what he's done all his life. Yeah, that won't last IMO.
Cas! I love that he's the high sherriff! People will look up to him; he'll kick ass!! The door has been left wide open to return, and I really really hope he does. I'm glad he's not dead. His and Dean's goodbye was quick but taking the slash goggles off for a second, it's kind of fitting with their relationship which has been kind of up and down, and never sentimental. Like Janie said in her post, his character has developed but now he has his faith in God back, so he'll serve him not blindly, but because he thinks it's the right thing to do. I'll be well upset if he doesn't come back!
Sam's reappearance at the end confused me. Is it Sam, or Samifer? How did he get out? What's he going to do? It's a bit obvious that that part was tacked onto the end because of season 6 but hey, that's television I suppose.
Sorry for the TL;DR! But in conclusion:
Dean = love! He never gave up, not once. Sam = I'm so proud. He continued to fight and that says such a lot about his character Cas = he's badass again! He'll sort heaven out, then hopefully he'll come back. 'Hey Assbutt!' made my freakin day Bobby = ummm...I thought he was a little bit lost in this ep,but I still love him!
Yay! I finally decided that I liked it for sure. Mostly because I realized that the things that bothered me so much last night were really left open to fun change next season.
