Snickerdoodles

I went to a party last night and took a batch of Snickerdoodles. The recipe was requested by a couple of folks, at least one or two of whom should be able to find it here.

This is a link to the recipe I adapted for them: http://www.everydaydish.tv/Recipe%20Pages/dreenacookie.html

1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
1⁄4 cup unrefined sugar
1⁄4 teaspoon sea salt
1⁄3 cup pure maple syrup
1⁄2 teaspoon blackstrap molasses
1 pure vanilla extract
1⁄4 cup canola oil

Mix wet ingredients, sift the dry ones and combine them. Form the dough into walnut sized balls and dip them into a mixture of 1 part cinnamon (I used pumpkin pie spice because I was low on cinnamon) and 3 parts sugar. Place on a tray, sugar side up, and flatten slightly. Bake for 7-10 minutes at 350.
