Poetry grumbles

I don't like Philip Larkin's poetry. It's I'm-a-cynical-miserable-old-git kind of stuff. Most of the people on my course are revaing about how good he is, whereas I'm just not at all. I'm not that big a fan of poetry. I'd rather have a novel or play to look at. This is why I didn't put down either of the creative writing modules on my second-year options form - there's a very heavy emphasis on poetry.

I'm currently feeling really thick about this group presentation. I'm doing "alternative endings", and I was the only one at the meeting today who didn't really have a clue what they were doing. Still, I have some vague ideas now. Hopefully they won't think I'm too stupid.

And they want to write an alternative ending for Romeo and Juliet. Personally, I think we've left it a bit late to write it if we're going to perform it next Thursday.

I'm going to go and play some silly games now.
