What we do

This is how we (my family and I) handle this holiday--First of all we do no have any contact with any of my family--this is a decision we came to when our first daughter was born--I had to live through their drama and rot--was not going to make my girls do that--that leaves my MIL--who refuses to come up to our house and whose house is so full of crud that you can not step a foot in her house. How she lives there is something I do not know. So every year we rent movies on Christmas eve--pick some food I can buy on Christmas eve so I do not have to cook--this year it is stromboli (sp?) from my favorite pizza place --then at night on Christmas eve we go to friends house for their family party--When we moved here 5 years ago these wonderful folks welcomed us into their world and treat us like we are family--there is so much food there and the house is full of people and we always have a wonderful time. So on Christmas morning it is presents, French toast and bacon, football and basketball on TV --we eat the food that was bought the day before and then if it is not to cold at night--we go and see all the Christmas lights around time
