Hey guys, well it's been way to long since I've actually done something on here... but I jsut thought someone would like to read it.
It's good if you have time, becuase this one is going to be a long entry with lots of spelling mistakes.
Well so far, I've been in Brandon for about a month, and I absolutely love it there. The people are just indescribable. So nice, and so willing to help you with whatever you need.
there have been many times where I wish I was at home...not talking to people, not getting hugs from anyone, and not really being able to have a good conversation with anyone for a long period of time. But something always happens to change my mood when I feel like that. If I feel like a hug, someone will just come and do it without even asking, or they'll ask to go out for a coffee.
It's just amazing that random people can be so nice, I guess they all think the same way though that they dont' know anyone either, so why not make friends?
I was very shy the first couple of weeks that I got there, and that changed quick. It helped that the first night I was lying in bed (in my gitch) and all of a sudden I hear this knock on my door, I thought it was chloe, because I literally didnt' know ANYONE down there. So I went and opened it up (yet again, still in my gitch), and it turned out to be two girls, wanting to know if I wanted to go a party. I said sure, because thats they only way your going to be able to meet people. I met some people from the music program, and people in Nursing and pyschology, and a whole bunch of people that I still talk too. it was really nice to just have people come up and introduce themselves becuase you literally know no one.
other then that, the schooling party of it is amazing. I've never met such nice people in my life. The professors literally go so far out of their way just to help you, it's amazing. I got asked if I had enough food for the weekend by Greg, and if I didn't he said I could come down for supper at his house.. I said I'd be fine, but it was very nice of him.
The dean is an absolutely amazing person. He'll literaelly come and sit down with you at lunch, and just talk. see how your doing, and ask if you want to come out for a coffee... I dont' think I even expected university to be like that... at all.
I joined B.U.M.S. "Brandon university music student" I know.. gay name but wahtever.. not a big deal They had a first year party, and it was all you can drink beer for 5 bucks, so we all had a good time. The dean and his wife, and allt he professors came, he funneled a beer and it was halarious.. only in the school of music.
I do have to go now though, I hope everyone is having a good time.
Take care and dont' get into too much trouble.
Goodnite,
Cat
