Taking the plunge
*deep breath*
Lesley has a lot of overseas study opportunities. One that I've seen that I really loved was an Art Therapy program in South Africa. It lasts a semester and involves working with kids on some wonderful community building projects in addition to individual Art Therapy group and individual sessions.
I put in my application for this Fall's South Africa program and my Advisor thinks my chances of getting in and getting financial aid to cover the expenses are excellent.
Perhaps a break from it all is just what I need!

I am actually astounded that anyone was actually fooled by this, I thought the K factor made it obviously Fool's Day shenanigans and not believable.
The best tall tales, they say, have some truth to them. In this case:
1. There is such a program through Lesley
2. I have found myself reading the flyers many times wishing I could go
But there's no way I could afford to go financially and indeed, it would be tough to figure out childcare options in SA for K, since there's no way I'd leave her for that long.
That having been said, it's one of the things I dream about now, and your responses make me think that perhaps I should take this dream more seriously and make it happen in a few years. :)
