And now, since I’m bored out of my mind in this burning hot dry summer of mine, I will share what I’ve been shamelessly indulging in ever since the year 2008 has begun. And since it is hakka-candy’s SPECIAL DAY, I’ll somewhat plagiarize reenact the way she did hers last summer too =)

SERIOUSLY, ONLY THREE JDRAMAS IN HALF A YEAR? impossible! muri muri!
YAYYYY NODAME’S BACK!! It was just really nice seeing all these musical silly monkeys get back together AND witnessing the growing chemistry between Chiaki-senpai and Nodame (and by chemistry, I meant Chiaki-senpai’s “D?!”) some of the new characters annoyed me like OMG-GET-OUT-OF-MY-FACE but no worries, the beautiful music and STREZEMANN’S (aka german cow milk) perverted ways made it alllll ok =)
one word: “awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww”, whether it’s the kawaii kids, or nino’s soulsucking gaze, or sho being the SEXY SCHEMER, I just couldn’t help but aww my way out of this drama. HOWEVER, whatsherface is really really really REALLY annoying (so annoying that I don’t even remember her name). shes totally in love with nino and has endless and pointless fantasies and chronic dilemma about OMG HE’S POOR BUT HE’S SO PRINCELY OMG WHAT TO DO MONEY NO NINOSPRETTYFACE NO MONEY NO NINOSPRETTYFACE… like REALLY NOW… nino is priceless!! (gawd!) but I liked sho better (haha) even if he’s the weird rich kid who manipulates everyone for his mere amusement and for the best of course and does ikebana all day long. Maybe it’s cuz I’ve seen how awesomely sarcastic and cocky nino can be that I cant help but think his charm and dazzling smiles are TOTALLY FAKE xD! (except the one to his one-and-only in the last episode heehee) and I certainly appreciate food a lot more…
I actually just started watching this TODAY and have gone through only two episodes. Of course, ueto aya’s SO PRETTY and shigeeeeeeeee my second favourite in NewS~~~, but WOW HAVE YOU SEEN KITAMURA KAZUKI?!?! (aka sugisaki-sensei) kakkoiiiiiiii~~~ like he was already awesome in bambino by smiling that charming smile all day and drinking at the bar giving “adult advices”, but now a pro bono lawyer that seemingly does nothing but gamble, play psp, sleep, and read manga all day?! HOW COOL IS THAT?! OH and his suits are sexy, his shades are pretty, AND HE HAS THINKING POSES TOO!! LOOK AT HIS HAIR!! Even if he doesn’t say anything intelligent, you’d be inclined to think that he’s bound to eventually. Oh yes the cases are good, do watch for that BUT YAY KITAMURA KAZUKI! (even if you’re too old for me to fangirl over)

I watched this on the tourbus when I was in Japan for my winter holidays. It’s set several decades back in Japan with some family feud and forbidden love thing going on. I don’t know I always have a thing for these kinds of tragic romances. It just has a totally different feel than modern-day ones. It makes your heart have spasms then makes you cry WHYYYYY NANDE?!?! and then actually cry till your eyes are dried out. Oh yeah, Tsumabuki Satoshi’s pretty… prettier than me. DAMMIT why are all Japanese boys especially JE ONES prettier than I am???
REALLY? THIS MOVIE IS ON THIS LIST? Yeah I know I’ve been putting it off for a while cuz school is so damn busy! I’m usually not a big fan of war movies (some of them are really slow), but this one’s pretty good! Again, nino proves what a great actor he is, and my mom and I couldn’t help but both scream “NINOOOOO~~~” every time he appears onscreen bahaha xD
YES the trailer got me SO hyped up that it deserves to be on this list! WHAT? TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD? WHAT? EXPLOSIONS? WHAT? STRANDED ON AN ISLAND AND MATSUJUN IS HALF-NAKED AND SKINSHIP?!?!?!?! Yeah that’s enough excitement alright. I. CANT. WAIT!!! (and I still love oguri shun best as hanazawa rui. I miss his whiteness and orangeness T_T)
OMG MIURA HARUMA GET OUT OF MY HEAD! Seriously, who does he think he is barging into my mind with his hot bleached hair! I’m totally against the whole falling-in-love-with-a-younger-boy thing but he made me break my own rule! I wiki-ed him, started finding some of his pics, flipped thru my jmagazines to look for him! I was determined that gokusen1 was the only gokusen that I’ll ever love… I’m THIS close to watching gokusen3 for him! Anyway THIS was an unexpected find! I BAWLED LIKE CRAZY! I love these kinds of stories too! GOOD GIRL falling in love with HIGH SCHOOL DELINQUENT WHO HAS AWESOME HAIR THAT I COULDN’T STOP STARING AT and who isn’t that bad after all. AND there’s something about libraries that fascinates me heeeheeehee . I don’t know if it’s just me or I always need to find out what the ending is before I watch it. It’s like if something bad happens, then everything sweet that happens beforehand makes me weakkkk. Again with the cries of WHYYYYYY?!?! And the theme songs “heavenly days” by aragaki yui and “tabidachi no uta” by mr. children were on repeat for the looongest time. Do watch it if you’re positive you can get out of miura haruma’s grasp.
OGURI SHUN! He is amazing and hilarious in this movie. I was so impressed not only with him, but all the other characters, and the complicated plot and how everything ACTUALLY MADE SENSE. Maaaan a movie with only five men stuck in a small room trying to figure out the reason for the death of their favourite C?-list model can turn out to be THIS satisfying, it’s crazy. I’ve run out of adjectives.
YUI’S movie. With the volleyball guy from gokusen1 (that’s all I think about whenever I see him). Yui who loves to sing can’t go out during the day because she can’t be exposed to the sun due to this illness. She watches this boy from her window whenever he sits at the bus stop. I thought the movie was kind of typical, like I didn’t feel sad or awww or anything… until the very end. When they played yui’s “good-bye days” and moments when she was singing her heart out in the studio… finally made me tear. Yui’s really the prettiest when she’s singing =)

I'm starting to fall in love with them more and more... so much that i want to live there...
Who hasn’t seen this they were kids (even if you didn’t understand what was going on, like me)? One of the classics! Even my cellphone accessory thing is susuwatari, the black coal blob with eyes! The animation is so beautiful and the little sister was adorable (note: litter sister has been officially dubbed, by my friend and I, “the mushroom girl” according to Sho’s drawing of her and totoro in this episode of GnoArashi xD) and totoro and tiny totoros were so FLUFFY I WANT TO GRAB THEM AND SLEEP ON THEM! The catbuses were SO COOL and free. I waste tons of money a year on public transportation for nonfurry seats and a bus THAT DOESN’T FLY AND ISN’T EVEN ALIVE it’s not even funny. If only I could live as carefree as these kids~
Instead of studying, I finished watching this in 2 days. TALL GIRL SHORT GUY, yeahhh it is pretty complex (but I guess I would never understand it though, my friends make fun of my alleged shortness T_T). It’s really cute (and tegomass’ theme songs for the first half of this show are really suitable!) but sometimes the tall girl cries too much that I want to slap her in the face and say snap out of it. I still prefer Ouran after all haha =.=” has anyone seen the live-action movie?
LILIUM~ I love playing that theme song on the piano. I pretty much finished this in one sitting BECAUSE IT WAS THAT AWESOME! Eventually, I got past the whole anime gore, laughed at the random hentai moments and felt sad for all of the characters T_T what a moving story about both compassion and cruelties of the world and within each person. it’s like everything was meant to be and everyone was supposed to meet. But one question: KOHTA AND YUKA ARE COUSINS?! W-T-F?!
The live-action adaptation… SUCKS. the manga on the other hand… WOW. But im still watching the live-action HOPING it’s going to get better someday. Then again, 2 measly chapters of the manga already beats hours and hours of the show. When I heard about the whole ROBOT LOVER and CHILDHOOD FRIEND triangle thing, I totally went dokidoki before the show even started. WHAT A WASTE OF THROBBING! So I went to read the manga out of anger and couldn’t stop until I finished it xD
One of the best anime movies I’ve ever watched! It’s theme song “garnet” is so pretty too! the movie starts out with the girl finding herself capable of leaping through time when she was hit by a train but went back in time and prevented it from happening. She then starts using it to her advantage, such as eating the same pudding multiple times, singing 1-hour karaoke for 10 hours, and basically dodging any possible unfortunate event. It eventually caused many disasters, because obviously if you’ve seen the butterfly effect, no matter how many times you try to change the past, it won’t work and will just lead to something worse. From hilarious to bittersweet, from kawaii to heartbreaking, from frustrating to OMG WHAT?!, toki wo kakeru shoujo has it all =)
Yuuki and zero are guardians of this school that contains the day class and the night class. Day class are consisted of normal human beings and students of the night class are all… vampires DUN DUN DUNNNN… the leader of the night class is kaname who saved yuuki from a vampire who tried to feed on her 10 years ago. So not all vampires are bad, duhhh, buffy? So the question is: Kaname or Zero? DEFINITELY ZERO maaan. Silver hair, violet eyes, lots of human-vampire conflict going on, and licking, biting, sucking… it’s awesome. who doesn’t love a good vampire show?

“it started with a chair… and ended with a chair.” Not a chick flick and not your typical teenage pregnancy! Uber clever dialogues, bittersweet ending (well I cried and it was a happy ending ERGO it’s bittersweet *nods*), the song “anyone else but you” by moldy peaches was just… AND ELLEN PAGE! Nominated for best actress at 20?! Amazing.
YAY ANIMATED RATS THAT CAN COOK FRENCH CUISINE AND CONTROL A HUMAN LIKE IT’S A PUPPET! Very cute. Reminds me of wii’s cooking mama…

So somehow a star can take the form of a human, evil princes are funnier as ghosts, witches use animal guts instead of compasses, lighting pirates are in the sky, and Robert de Niro is a drag queen? I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT xD Romantic comedy, sure, but it’s more so an incredible fantasy movie you don’t want to miss.
I don’t like dan. I hate outright want to slap jenny in the face until she gets all the snobbyness out of her system. chuck bass + blair FTW! I watched season premiere and finale and bits here and there. I don’t think I’ll be watching it next season ahah, it’s not that it’s bad but it wasn’t what I expected it to be. But I recently had a dream that I was eating cake with serena, blair, and nate. Wtf? I was probably hungry when I went to sleep and they were rich so they could buy me some food xD ahahah my parents would always happen to walk into the room when the show’s getting steamy… awkwarrrrd.
WHOA. O_O Yeah I can’t even accidentally spoil this one because it’s that good. Hint: Jeckyll and Hyde. Nonlinear timeline, eerie music, damn suspenseful from start to finish!
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. And kind of sad when you think about it. Ned, the piemaker, can bring people back to life with a touch from the tip of his finger; second touch to the once-dead person, dead forever. If he doesn’t bring the person back to death again within one minute, another life will be taken. He makes pies from rotten produce that he can improve, and makes extra money with a private investigator by temporarily bringing dead ppl back to live, asking them how they died, and unundead them again. The gift allowed him to save his dog and the love of his life, but he could never touch them again. so they kiss through saran wrap. HEHE. UNLESS the writers do something about this next season ahah CANT WAIT!
YUP so that's it for now. i still have a lot of pending stuff to watch, such as zettai kareshi, bambino, prodai+sp, first kiss, iwgp, karei naru ichizoku, coffee prince, my boss my hero, change, one pound gospel etc etc... so until next time~
