Seriously though, one day I will own one. The thought of travelling around the country on back roads an lesser-travelled highways holds a great amount of appeal to me, especially during the Summer months in the open air. Of course, I'd never ride a motorcycle without having a properly instructed course and a lot of practice time first. But the whole freedom of it holds quite a bit of magic in it. It's not the same as riding in a car...that seems too easy. And a car's got a lot more things in it that can go wrong. Motorcycles are far easier to fix on the road. So this is one of my goals for the next five years. Buy a BMW motorcycle and go on random road trips across the country. I think it's doable.
