For a challenge at
gameofcards to do some fanworks illustrating a crossover. So I'm revisiting this headcanon I have that Mycroft Holmes and Sean Renard are cousins, based on the (to me) likeness between the actors Mark Gatiss and Sasha Roiz. A little snippet of the story, a fanmix, and picspam.
Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sherlock BBC, Grimm
Characters: Mycroft Holmes, Sean Renard
Rating: G, some language
Warning/Notes: Part of this crossover ‘verse I write in, sometimes, where Giles brings the Slayerettes to London after the fall of Sunnydale, and they get involved with the Sherlock crew. They're drawn into an investigation of a series of supposed serial killings which might be vampires, or just might be something else entirely. This is really just a snippet to explain the relationship.

Mycroft Holmes arose from his chair and surveyed the individuals assembled around the well-appointed room. Being summoned to the Watchers' Council (in Luton, of all the ridiculous places) was bad enough, but to be confronted with his own American Cousin only heightened both the absurdity and the gravity of the situation. Indeed, the sheer fact of Renard’s presence laid bare the extent and nature of the crisis before them. Victims half-drained of their blood, vampire-slayers, his brother, wesen, Watchers, Californians, Royal families, American policemen, and the British Government. All that was needed was a werewolf and a dominatrix to make it a full boat. Well, in any case, this phase of the proceedings was complete--nothing material accomplished, but sides drawn, and more skirmishes to follow. For now, however...
"As we seem to have reached a natural breaking point, may I suggest we refresh ourselves, and resume in an hour?" he said smoothly, inwardly grimacing at the thought of prolonging his time away from home and offce. Still, needs must. "And perhaps the rest of you will pardon us if my cousin and I take a moment to catch up on family matters?" He gestured to a table in the corner; Renard rose with an amused look. As they followed each other across the room, the resemblance between them became even more evident to the others in attendance, who couldn't help but be curious about what would be the "matters" discussed between these two men of such lineage, authority, and mystery.
