Hello World

It's been a really really long time since I wrote anything on this. I have been using a different journal off and on for a bit. In fact I think it's been about a year since I wrote on here. I needed to go away for a while and do a lot of thinking, planning, reorganising myself. Feel like that has been done now and maybe it's time to reconnect to ( Read more... )

*wavewave* I'm going to friend your other journal, just FYI.
that's cool :) It's a bit less public, more friends only stuff and more just general notebook for dreams and feelings.

Congrats on the coursework! Heck of a commitment, but I bet it'll be worth it when those five years are up.

thanks! It's defintely the biggest thing I've ever taken on board and I'm still working through getting my head round it. A big part of it is realising I'm no longer in the questing zone of "hmm I wonder what I should do with my life" but actually committing to a path and my own potential. On a practical level I've gotten rather lazy and this is going to be a bit of a kick up the bum in terms of working hard again.

Ah, the joys of shadow-work. Internal spring cleaning (complete with dust, and backbreaking scrubbing). Good luck!

aaaah....it's my fault, I did an invocation inviting my shadow to come into my life over the summer solstice this year (I went to stone henge again :)) without really realising what I was letting myself in for! I like the metaphor of spring cleaning -- it does have that feel of being a bit of a pain to do but weirdly satisfying.

It will take a while to catch up on other peep's journals but I hope all is well with you and your writing !

*nods* I'm getting to the point where I'm finally figuring out what I want to be when I grow up, too ;) Having to put things in motion requires patience, but all in good time.

That's one of the things about shadow work--we realize, on a certain level that we need it, but it always catches us by surprise no matter how much we prepare.

Things go well--in short, moved to Portland, OR (much better than Seattle in many ways), still writing, still making artwork, etc.
