I never thought I'd be someone who would actually want to go to hear Metal music but I did and now I'm hooked! Talk about connecting to primal energy

I had a lot of fun dressing up in goth/metal clothes, spikey choker, wrist-bands, finger-less lace gloves,eyeliner,boots..must upload some photos. In many ways I find this akin to getting into ritual dress.

It is getting into ritual dress, it really is. You're dressing up specifically to go out and channel these energies in a similar way to a host of other people with the same general purpose - it's like a free-for-all religious festival, with a fluent theological paradigm that shifts between all people present.

Anyhow, enough of that. This mental shift thing sounds interesting, though I still have the same questions regarding it. I'll have to talk your ear off about it sometime.

Speaking of which, when're you heading to Robin's place? If I can get down there, room for one more, etc. etc.?

Music and dancing has always been associated with spiritual ritual and magic. So I am not surprised to hear this. Anything that someone can get lost in that is bigger than him or herself seems to unlock things supressed within: which can be both good or bad. Music and dance seems to directly speak to the animal within and bypass the consciousness, with it's rules and rationalizations.

Didn't mention it, only realized it while I was there - amazing! I feel like my crow-within has separated itself from me, allowing me to call on her whenever I need or want, and made room for me to recognize the other animal spirits helping me out. Glorious!
