I made a wishlist in holiday_wishes. It's fun to read other people's lists, but http://community.livejournal.com/holiday_wishes/416054.html is a link to mine. It reads:
I've seen this done in friends' LJ's but never as a community. What a cool idea! After granting a few wishes, I've been inspired -- here's my wishlist.
1. Donations to the Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic. www.lowcostclinic.org. It just needs a few more pieces of equipment to be operational. Working to spay and neuter all pets in the area, including those from the humane society housed in the same building. Please help us get going!
2. Donations to your local animal shelter. They need money, but also pet food, towels, cleaning supplies, volunteers, and several other things. Many shelters will also let you visit and pick an animal to sponsor. And the dogs and catties love the attention!
3. Smiles and generosity, even in the face of adversity. We all get caught up in crap sometimes (like I did today, to a certain extent), and it helps if we remember to be cool on our own, and it helps even more if someone else smiles at us and is generous even if our moods aren't great.
