Random Thai cultural phenomena, part the thousandth:  Hitler Chic.

Yup, those are t-shirts of Hitler dressed as, among other things, Ronald McDonald and a Teletubby.  And I remember reading about the high school in Chiang Mai that horrified local expats when its senior chose the theme for their annual parade and celebration:  Nazism!

I dunno, the urge to dress Hitler in silly outfits (or sillier situations) just seems to transcend cultures. Here, for example, by a Jewish guy:

Oh, agreed - but I do think you can sometimes (though not always) distinguish between people who crack those jokes with the full knowledge of the history behind Hitler, and people who do it without that knowledge. (I don't think the high school Nazi cosplay could be anything but breathtaking innocent, for example.)

That comic features a goggles-wearing lizard, which has to be, like, the most adorable thing ever.
