This weekend was all about movies... Friday night, "Pieces of April," I loved. James and kate did not. But I did. The mother smoked pot in the bathroom, they buried a squirrel they hit on the highway, and the girl used 3 ovens to make her turkey... It was excellent. Plus we laughed uncontrollably for about 15 min. when they had a funeral for the roadkill. Saturday I watched "Far and Away" with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise from the early 90's and it was wonderful. I LOVE hisotrical films and this one was no exception. And then we saw Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Not a great choice... But tonight is Oscar night. And after being teased relentlessly about my academy award night ritual, I went home and did it anyway. Although I'm too tired to stay up anymore and see who won the real awards. We know it will be LOTR. of course.
The JV vs. JVB lax game Friday night was the worst idea ever. It should've just been a fun joking around kind of game. But it wasn't. There was so much tension between the two teams, it was awful. And it was freezing.... But I have enjoyed getting free TCBY the past few nights, and that made it better... The boys game saturday was fun... (C: "are people from utah called Utahians?" A: "no, they're called mormons...") right.
And today I learned that when you lay out on a slanted roof, you will slide. and after 10 min., you will have significantly moved... not a great idea. But Moe's was good. I love having friends that drive.... And at church we learned the story of the pretzel... super.
FCAT tomorrow. Yippeee...
