I just finished my summer history. What a weight off my shoulders!! :)  This summer has gone by super fast.  I feel like this week has been my first big breather. From Ireland to camps, I have learned a ton, and tried things I never would have tried before this summer. I will share:
  • I can shuffle & bridge cards now. (most of the time)
  • Rummy + Kings in the Corner = new card games. (played ALL the time)
  • Salsa dancing in the kitchen
  • Hitting golf balls (and dirt/grass) at the driving range
  • Ate lobster/tuna/chicken fried steak/ lots of new things
  • Proficient at driving on highways
  • Adept at playing the F cord. finally.
  • visited a hospital
  • P.T.A.
  • entertained my grandfather
  • learned Irish fairy tales
  • learned to side shoot
  • lived with no air conditioner for several weeks (honestly, it was alright)
  • tie-dye
  • rode a roller coaster laying down
  • went rapaelling (sp?)
  • bang bang click bang
  • learned to read my bible
  • learned of Papa's childhood/visited remains of his house
  • reached out-made unexpected friends
  • read books on my list
  • weight training
  • watched movies on list
  • Goliath
  • wakeboard (sort of...)
  • purchased/burned/discovered new (actually, quite old) musical geniuses

All in all, this summer has been great. I'm thankful for everything that happened. I haven't seen a ton of school friends, which (don't get me wrong- its sad) in the long run I think may be good. I'm anticipating (not necessarily looking forward to) the first day of school.  This year should be satisfying. I have different expectations than usual. My perspective has changed.  I'm ready.  I will be in New York from Thursday until Sunday, so come Monday....

I love summer.
