good news and bad news
on the good news front I was at a travel expo on the weekend.
I manged to get a US flight worked out, and I save just under a grand :)
instead of 3200, it was only 2200.
to get the flight I had to organise payment right away, which means extra time offline and relying on using other peoples computers.
also to get the flight I had to agree to certain destinations and dates
so the confirmed flights I currently have are from brisbane (my nearest international airport) on the 8th of August to Las Vegas.
getting home I have to be in LA early on the 6th of september.
I have no idea on internal US flights yet, but I figure I'll try to tempt Foxie down to vegas and stay there a couple of days recovering, then head directly to seattle.
After seattle, it's all in the air, with these dates I can still make either Dragoncon or MFM.
One last thing, paying for this now besides putting off getting a new desktop, this has ruined for good the trip I was planning to Melbourne with Talisman. :(
life for me otherwise has been a lot of work, now that we've had some wet weather at last a lot of people are discovering problems, I'm now booked 15 days in advance. This is good news after a long dry summer, business was in a slump, I;m very happy to be making money for my family again.
