He has a lot of worries. It's not easy being him! Today he posted
something so funny and true that I was irresistibly moved to x-post.
Lately I'm freaked out on regular basis by abundance. By which I mean. You go to these Korean bodegas along any street and they have a huge bin of nice large white peaches, just for instance. And you start thinking about it, or I do. Nobody buys their fruit at these tiny little stores when they're on the same block as a supermarket, do they? I've never seen anyone buying fruit there, and I sometime look to see if the quantity of white peaches has gone down. It never has, significantly. I start worrying that the world is simply required to produce lots of things so that anyone in this country, any time they have a yen for a white peach, can rest assured that they don't have to go very far to get one. And that just the same most of them probably rot. Because it's not just white peaches, of course, but eeeeverything. Like you go into a dollar store and see all these wretched plastic children's toys nobody will ever want, and realize somewhere there's a factory shitting out thousands and thousands of them. And I don't know, drinking straws. And absolutely everything. There's lots of everything, all the time, and no I have not been drinking, this stuff just makes me nervous.
