Alfredo Pork Chops

Apr 17, 2012 21:38

Absolutely delicious! Matt said he didn't even know it was Alredo sauce, it tasted so original. YUM!

Pork chops - (I did 3, probably will do 6 next time)
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup oil
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder
Paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
8 ounce fresh mushrooms, sliced, OR Onions
16 ounce jar Alfredo sauce
2 ounces parmesan cheese

Heat the oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chops with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper and brown well on both sides. Place in a 9x13" baking dish and keep the oil in the pan. Sauté the mushrooms/Onions in the hot skillet until almost tender; scatter over the pork chops. Pour the alfredo sauce into the skillet and stir to blend the browned bits from the pan with the sauce. Add the parmesan cheese; pour over the chops. Cover and bake at 300º for 1 hour. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
