I didn’t go to school today. I just couldn’t do it. I friggin’ hate high school. Will be nice to be able to get away from school for a week for college auditions. Even if it may indeed be a stressful week, at least I’ll be away from school. Yeah, I bet you all are saying that it’s normal to not want to go back to school after break, but seriously. Gah.
Did I ever say that my Messiah solo went okay and could have done better? This was in the middle of December so you all probably don’t even care, but that’s okay. Ms. C seems to be expecting more from me then she usually would but maybe that’s just because I’m going to college. Hmm.
The only core class that students at Boulder are required to take is English Composition. Anything else you take goes down as an elective. The entire purpose of me taking all AP classes this year was to get out of my college core classes, or at least most of them. The Boulder College of Music of The University of Colorado at Boulder is a CONSERVATORY education, (and a cheap one at that - I just found out that they only charge out of state students $13,793 for the music college) so few “liberal arts” classes are required. This sort of stinks because basically I’m working my ass off in AP classes for no reason…but that’s okay. More early elective credit for me…
