What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit?
In a Catholic newspaper a young woman wrote that she went to a Catholic retreat and afterwards she was filled with the Holy Spirit.
I know that the Holy Spirit dwells in every person who is in a state of sanctifying grace. But how does being filled with the Holy Spirit differ from that indwelling? Sometimes I think that it only happens to people who are particularly holy, but the Holy Spirit sanctifies us and makes us holy.
When we sincerely pray "Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of thy faithful and kindle in them the fire of thy love", are we filled with the Holy Spirit?
