My mom called me today to inform me that my uncle had a bad heart attack.
He started feeling sick about a week and a half ago. He had a high fever and had clammy, moist and pale skin. He went into the doctor and the doctor informed him he had the flu and to go home.
He and his wife didn't feel good about it, so they went back into the doctor a week later.
The doctor admitted him immediately because he had had a heart attack a week ago. He went into surgery on Sunday. There was 95% blockage to his heart. They had to clear five arteries and there was a decent amount of damage to his heart that could not be repaired.
The good: He somehow survived for a week after having a heart attack, without any medical intervention. He also survived the surgery.
He was not doing too well this morning when my parents went to visit him. By the time they left he was doing a bit better. I guess the third day is always the worst. My dad and my uncle's wife are a mess.
He will be out of work for at least three months. Poor timing, as he and his wife just purchased a house and a car.
