Started packing
I started packing this evening for our big move back to Seattle. I know it's two months away, but with having a 3 month old and a quarter of school speeding at me, I had better hurry it up.
I packed a good amount of my clothes, leaving behind a few things for job interviews and a few sweaters and shirts that fit. I live in nursing tanks, so there's not real need for most of my clothes.
I was able to eliminate a whole bag of clothing to donate to Goodwill, woohoo! There were a few things that were hard to let go of but they had served their purpose. I thought I would be able to get more than one bag to donate, but I supposed not. I bet it's due to not fitting into my tops yet (hello, HUGE boobs!) so I want them, but know I can't wear them.
It was nothing short of overwhelming. I decided that this time, I would pack neatly and label the boxes carefully. Unpacking is a bitch. Last time, because we hardly had any time to pack or move, I just started throwing stuff in boxes so we ended up with about 10 boxes of STUFF that went all over the house. More careful packing can prevent that from happening this time.
Tomorrow, the goal is to pack up the living room. This includes our DVDs, CDs, books and picture frames. On Tuesday, I shall tackle the kitchen (which is HORRENDOUS, most things don't have a home due to our very small cabinets).
Silly dream
I dreamt that a friend showed me his apartment because there were a few available in his complex. It was what was called "Japanese Style" in the dream, meaning that all walls were movable and each room had a skylight that you could peak through from some catwalk-like platforms.
Really, I've had stranger dreams than that.
Goodnight.
