Someone call Jesse Katsopolis/Cochran!
Our landlord finally followed up on our call from last week (and the note I put with our rent) about our ants and lack of furnace.
Sometime today, All-Seasons Heating is going to come by and look at our furnace. I'm kinda bummed, because they called me at 8:30 and said they had two calls ahead of me. In English, it meant I had to get out of bed and shower. If I weren't so pregnant and so uncomfortable, this would be fine, as I never mind a good reason to wake up at a decent time. However, I've been sleeping in as long as I physically can because it doesn't seem to affect my sleeping at night, and being awake longer means being bored and uncomfortable for a few extra hours.
Alana's Cadillac
Yesterday I managed to get off the couch and put together the stroller. It took longer than I'd like, because I'm so big and unflexible. But, it's together and it seems like a pretty solid little thing. I haven't figured out the supposed "one-handed folding" yet, but that comes later.
I went to Target yesterday to see if they had an extra car seat base for our other car and of course, they didn't. I stuck it on my registry and will pick one up from BRU in Seattle if I don't receive it. Yakima doesn't have JACK when it comes to that stuff!
Boppy
I ordered a Boppy wedge online. It was recommended to me by a girl who is a few weeks ahead of me.
And look at how happy this woman is!
Hopefully this will help me to get to sleep easier at night and have less lower back problems. This belly is HEAVY! It's arriving on Wednesday, I sure hope it helps.
My nighttime routine
To get comfortable every night, I've been slathering Tiger Balm on my shoulders, using a body pillow between my legs, placing the heated kitty (it's a shoulder thing you microwave, it looks like a kitty) against my lower back for support, two pillows under the head and wedging a pillow or shirt under Monster Belly for support. We definitely need larger than a full-sized bed! Allen's not the smallest person either (48 inch chest..)!
Loser!
When I ventured out to the mall on Saturday, I stopped by Hallmark to see if any of their recordable cards didn't have music. When I walked inside, they had these stuffed kitties that must have some inflatable bag in them or something, but they BREATHE when you pet them! It was so cute and I want a kitty SO BAD that I almost cried. I'm such a loser.
Last night, when Allen came home, I gave him a big hug and started crying. I feel like such a recluse, sitting at home, but I'm so tired and uncomfortable most days. He told me I'm doing a good job making Alana and when we get back to Seattle, we can get a kitty! That made me so happy (even though I was going to get one anyways, hee hee). Bottom line, he sure knows how to make me smile.
