Sharing is caring, kids. And I am in a sharing kind of mood. So I bring you music!
The following are songs which I am totally digging right now. They may not be new, you may have heard them before, but I just wanted to shine the spotlight on them for a moment because they are AWESOME songs and deserve to be recognised as such.
i.
"In your honour" - Foo Fighters.
This song never fails to give me the shivers. Dave Grohl is a freakin' genius and the passion and intensity in his voice here just makes my stomach do funny things every single time I listen to it.
can you hear me? hear me screaming? breaking in the muted skies. this thunder heart, like bombs beating echoing a thousand miles. mine is yours, and yours is mine. there is no divide. in your honour i would die tonight.
ii.
"The diary of Jane" - Breaking Benjamin.
I adore Breaking Benjamin. And this song is simply rocking. It makes me want to get up and move, in that really angry way. I love songs with attitude like this. Awesome.
desperate, i will crawl. waiting for so long. no love, there is no love. die for anyone, what have i become?
iii.
"Riot" - Three Days Grace.
This song makes me want to be a fucked up, rebellious outcast and be PROUD of it. I love it. It's full of passion and anger and defiance and it may be cliched` as all hell, but fuck. It makes me feel good.
if you feel so filthy, so dirty, so fucked up. if you feel so walked on, so painful, so pissed off. you're not the only one refusing to go down. you're not the only one, so get up.
iv.
"All the same" - Sick Puppies.
Time for sharing of the Aussie music. The Sick Puppies have pretty much come out of nowhere, but they're causing alot of noise with this song. You may have heard of it already, it's the music from the
FREE HUGS clip. (Which you must see, if you haven't seen it already. It puts a smile on your face, I promise) How good is Sydney? <3
hours slide and days go by til you decide to come and in between it always seems too long.
v.
"Don't give up" - Shannon Noll and Natalie Bassignthwaighte.
Such an Aussie song. Sung by our first Australian Idol runner up (WHO TOTALLY SHOULD HAVE WON! Guy who?) and an ex-Neighbours star. I didn't want to like it, but it's a beautiful, beautiful song. I love love love Shannon's voice. He's earthy and raw and real and guh, a true Aussie singer. LOVE. You Yanks, please download this. Aussie music is so underappreciated.
moved onto another town, tried hard to settle down. for every job, so many men. so many men noone needs.
♥
Finally finished watching "Fools for love". Onto "Que sera sera" now! And meep, Tritter is a bully! I don't like him already. *pouts*
(And I've finished that House fic I was working on, too. Just waiting for it to get betaed. Hooray! Hopefully up soon.)
