Had a great night tonight-it was the metro conference tourney for girls varsity volleyball, so Laura and I went over to Atlantic Shores. A nice surprise-ran into Jay & Karen Bowen, whose youngest plays for HC, and also Joy Parker, a former student. She graduated in 2005 and did the Master's Commission in Va Beach, and now she's studying to be a worship leader. It was great to reconnect with her and to hear what God's been doing in her life. It also seems like she's a good connection to have for the future. She wants to get her church (Fun in the Son), NCC, and GFC together for a worship night. We'll see what comes of it.
And it was good to spend that time with Laura. So grateful for what the Lord does. Tomorrow we may go walking with Betty because Linz is in Richmond this weekend.
