I'm SO happy!
My birthday was the 14th.. I had a GREAT birthday! Guess what???? I GOT A HORSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly believe it! She is a Belgin Draft and Arab cross, so she's more of a draft horse size. She's about 16 hh and 14-15 yrs. old. She is just so sweet! Some good friends of ours have been trying to give Diamond to us for a year or more, and Papa finally gave his permission. When I saw her standing in the yard, I just brought down bawling. lol I was and am so happy! I have wanted a horse for birSince we don't have a barn, Diamond will be staying at their house at least until spring, which is hard, but I don't mind! I should be able to see her again maybe next Monday. I'm just so excited! I'll be sure and send you pictures soon!
Anyways, that's my most exciting news!! :) For my birthday we all went to Duluth and out to Pizza Hut for lunch/supper, which was sooo good! After that we went to the mall, and a few other stores. I bought a sweater, some cheap calendars, some candy, and a couple other things.
From my siblings I also got: a lamp, alarm clock, some really soft socks, and a horse calendar (from Sarah), a beautiful horse journal and cross stitch and card (from Carrie), a beautiful homemade letter box and card from Emma, two cute homemade bookmarks and a card from Doris, and two really nice classics, Wives and Daughters and Silas Marner from my dad. I had such a good birthday! :)
When we got home we watched Hidden Places which we bought. It was good! Sarah, Carrie, and I had all read the book and were excited to see the movie. The book was, of course, better, but the movie wasn't bad at all!
I better get some work done....
