Those of you who have been following my
Twitter account may have noticed one or two tweets referring to a “surprise”. Well, now I can unveil it!
A few months ago I was in charge of a little forum called Bibliocon. As the name might suggest, it was a forum based around books. Unfortunately, it got repeatedly hit by spam bots and, since there were no visitors to the forum anymore, it was decided to remove the whole thing before restarting it again.
So guess what?
Bibliocon is back and hopefully it will be better than ever! One new addition is a category solely for the YA book bloggers! You can discuss book blogging itself, post links to your latest posts and advertise your competitions!
It is very bare-bones at the moment, but that is to be expected, given it is brandnewomg! Expect more forums and features to be added as they become necessary - one planned feature to be coded in will be the ability to display what you are currently reading on your user profile. Just type it in on your profile page and ta da! Added! You are now able to display what you are currently reading!
There’s also an upcoming contest-y thing to design a proper header image for Bibliocon - the winner gets theirs displayed!
And, of course, we have a
suggestions thread if you get struck by any ideas.
So if you’re a reader (you don’t have to be a book blogger) or even an author, do check out
Bibliocon. Hopefully you’ll join us, and help make Bibliocon a great community for YA readers and writers!
