All I can say tonight, maliwane has said better.  I'd link to her post, but I don't know how.

And I must say I didn't get the hatred she did, seeing as I was too afraid to admit that I was happy with the turn of events.  Too afraid to get the kind of hatred that was spewed at her.  But I hope those of you who are so happy don't receive any, although I am ( Read more... )

As I have said, I am expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. And as a couple of days have passed, I'm not as bummed as I was. I have always had great hope and pride in this country and I'm going to keep that regardless of who leads us. I refuse to be like some who said of Bush, "He's not my president!!" Obama is president of my country, so he is my president and I am going to support him and pray for him everyday and hopes he makes decisions that are good for the entire nation.

As for my family, Ron is doing ok. He is in a lot of pain daily. He is having pain in his joints and has headaches all of the time. Two weeks ago, he was admitted to the hospital because they thought he was having another stroke, but it was just a severe headache. He applied for disability some time ago, but we are still waiting. He seems to be taking more and more drugs every month. He has percocet, oxycodone, vicodin and Tylenol 3 to help with varying pain. He stays away from the percocet and oxycodone as much as possible because he does not like the way they make him feel. The Tylenol 3 helps the most with the headaches and the vicodin he only takes at night when his legs really ache because it makes him sleepy. But, he is still with us and has very good days along with the bad, so we are thankful. :) I am working a new shift, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm to 9am, so I am able to be home with everyone more.

Thank you for thinking of us. It is wonderful to know we have so many friends.
