Dad was going to help me patch drywall today, but all we have is 5/8 instead of 1/2 inch and it was raining at the store where you buy the stuff.
Yesterday I assembled some mini tables and chairs. The piece I broke while sanding went together well and I don't expect trouble from it. The pieces that join the back supports, not the stretcher bars by the legs, the top parts - those were a loose fit and will require some caution in handling.
Have to decide whether to go for more stain to get them darker or see if the clear coat is enough. Then I'll need more of that little wallpaper for the seat cushions.
I found little boards to make shelves over the left and right windows, to match the middle one, but I don't have any more teapot buttons to put up there. I'll consider before I put the boards up. (Full teapots are too wide to look good.)
I decided to repurpose the curio cabinet for curios. Cakes just didn't fit in there well enough. I'll have to find a new holder for the cakes.
